Foundations of Underwater Photography: A Topside Class

This class is for those considering underwater photography or who have only just started and are overwhelmed or confused by all of the information and choices. We will cover the general principles of photographing in water, types of underwater photography, equipment needed for each of the various types, equipment care, different lighting options, and safety considerations. This course will not include any work IN the water, but will be more of a foundation for all of the information that is needed to be able to work in the water confidently. If there is time and interest, we will cover some basic editing concepts as well.

• Underwater housing or equipment (if you have questions on how to use and care)
